A slightly different implementation of a non-compression neck is the use of a dual-action or double action truss rod. In the G&L implementation of this design, 2 rods are used and the nut is welded on. Otherwise the workings is identical. Like on the previous page, it would be a weird exercise to find the first guitar in the collection with this truss rod. But I am sure the late-2014 ASAT Classic Bluesboy Alnico Semi-Hollow as well as my late-2017 Doheny w/DFV, the youngest guitar in the collection, use the dual-action truss rod with welded nut, since both came with the shown instruction sheet.
