G&L tech resources: Nuts & string retainers

All instruments built after 2009 have a bone nut replacing the Micarta nut, i.e. starting around the time the C.L.F. Centennial ASAT and C.L.F. Centennial L-2000 were produced in the 2nd half of that year. Hence all instruments provided with a specifications sheet will list this nut unless the optional Graph-Tech nut has been requested. Note that one of the 2 entries for the the SC-3 model in the September 1, 1987 price list is explicitly listed as having a bone nut whereas none of the other guitars make mention of this material. Same is true on the January 1, 1988 price list. It is hard to judge whether this is a mistake or whether it was so intended. Most if not all instruments of that era came standard with the Micarta nut. Read about the poser though presented in the Graph-Tech nut section.
