One of, if not the last Climax bass ever built came with an original Bartolini Music Man StingRay Original (MMC) pickup wired up in what seems to be an identical configuration as for the standard Climax Bass. The pickup rout in the ash body with Clear Blue finish shows it came from the factory that way since the footprint of the MMC is a little smaller than for an MFD bass humbucker. Unfortunately, I do not know the serial number of the relevant instrument built in 1996, but have pictures in my archive. Just not the copyright to publish them here.
