My guitar collection - G&L

This is the ASAT Deluxe II in G&L’s Custom Creations Department (CCD) Savannah Collection with a semi-hollow okoumé body with korina top finished in Old School Tobacco Sunburst. As is customary for any ‘II’ model, it has a TonePros Tune-o-matic bridge assembly. The pickups are a Seymour Duncan (SD) ’59 (SH-1N) humbucker in the neck and an SD JB Trembucker (TB-4) in the bridge, both with chrome covers and controlled by a 3-position pickup selector, volume control, and push-pull tone control to split the coils. Both of the latter controls have Gibson-style knobs as is the pickguard to give the guitar a bit of Kalamazoo. The slightly figured, quartersawn, light tint gloss finished hard-rock Eastern maple #1 neck with PLEK’ed 12” pau ferro fingerboard with Jescar Medium Jumbo 57110 frets. More information on this model can be found in this 2016 archived snapshot.

Completed on September 10, 2013, this guitar was sold by Nathan Pullin on eBay and, given the price point, a pure opportunity purchase. While the Savannah Collection ASAT Junior II is without, like the Savannah Collection ASAT Classic Bluesboy 90 this guitar does come with a Silver Certificate of Authenticity. It also has the gold lettered G&L logo with black trim on the headstock has the “MADE IN USA PAT PEND FULLERTON CA” phrase underneath seen on so many ASAT Deluxe guitars. And an ASAT Deluxe II it is; nothing particular in how it sounds or what it can do. Just a gorgeous guitar constructed with exquisite tonewoods.
